(Invited Seminar: Jisoo Han, ISAN Corporation) Prediction of Primary Effluent Characteristics in MLE Wastewater Treatment Plant and Integration with Mathematical Process Models

Jisoo Han from the Environmental and Water Division of ISAN Corporation delivered an invited seminar on “Prediction of Primary Effluent Characteristics in MLE Wastewater Treatment Plant and Integration with Mathematical Process Models.” The seminar focused on the integration of data-driven prediction models with mathematical process models for improving wastewater treatment plant operation. During the seminar, she introduced a multi-stage data-driven approach for predicting primary effluent characteristics and COD fractions, addressing the limited availability of organic matter input data required for Activated Sludge Model (ASM)-based process modeling. The predicted influent characteristics were integrated with a mathematical process model to predict effluent water quality and evaluate actual plant operating conditions.
